About Lus Na Gréine Family Resource Centre

Lus na Gréine FRC, Granard works in partnership with the North Longford community to provide concrete, practical and emotional social supports and services across the life-course. The work of the FRC helps to build and sustain a resilient and strong community. Our many volunteers work closely with the management board and staff to deliver a range of family support services. Their skills and talents help meet local needs and support children and young people and their families to achieve their true potential. The FRC assists with a host of social events and projects and contributes positively to build strong social capital, making our area a very positive place to live.

Voluntary Management Committee

Lus Na Gréine Family Resource Centre is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors who have overall responsibility for the management of the centre. Members of the Board of Directors are drawn from the local community and ensure that local needs are central to the important work of the centre.

Board Chairperson, strong on corporate governance, leadership skills and vision for the organisation.

Vice Chairperson, Involved in all aspects of the work of the FRC and in particular the provision of youth services.

Company Secretary, with a keen knowledge of the North Longford community, it’s history and people.

Joint Treasurer, broad experience in the area of administration and organisational acumen. Active member of the management team at Pre loved boutique and Chair of Women in Touch.

Joint Treasurer, with business experience, energy and passion for community work and building strong responsive services to meet local needs.

Pauline has an extensive knowledge of Lus Na Greine Family Resource Centre as she was the Administrator for several years. Pauline is very involved in the day to day running of Pre-Loved Boutique, our Community Enterprise.

Thomas has strong local knowledge and represents the needs of the community particularly in tackling disadvantage and social exclusion.

Turlough is a local Independent County Councillor serving the Granard Municipal District, he is an ardent supporter of community development and in building community resilience.

The Voluntary Management Committee is drawn from local people within the community. The centre employs a Project Coordinator, full and part time Family Support and Community Development worker alongside a part time Administrator.
